The mighty Oak. Revered and respected by humans as one of the most important living organisms. It has long been used for sculpture, building, fuel, and food. The use of acorns fell away over the past centuries but is currently undergoing a major revival along with many other wild foods.
During a mast year, oaks can yield an almighty supply of acorns which store perfectly once dried and will last for several years, until the next bumper year, probably longer.
